Remotejazz is the music of Robert L Bryant. An Independent artist, record producer, and owner of his own small record label Key Music Productions, LLC.
Since the first release for Remotejazz was made in 1999, Robert (Bob) has strived to create his own unique style of music by combining jazz, pop, soul, rhythm and blues, with electronic sounds. Creating a fresh new ethereal sound in the independent artist genre.
Professional critics at the Indie artist’s music website, ReverbNation.com; have compared Remotejazz’s style of music to great artists like 9 Lazy 9, Amon Tobin, Boney James, Rick Braun, Funki Porcini, Mr. Scruff and Paul Hardcastle.
Remotejazz came into prominence in the year 2010, when the second project of original material was released. Collaborating with fellow artist and saxophone player Dave Jarvis, on “Through the Eye of the Storm”, which chronicles Bobs continuing journey to find peace and prosperity through faith.
This collaboration propelled the single “As I Have Loved You” to become highly requested all over the globe. International music programmers suddenly began to pick up on the simplicity, and natural beauty of the relaxing, soulful and funky sounds of Remotejazz.
"As I Have Loved You" is a hypnotic tune that really challenges the listener. There are so many levels to this piece and so many instruments wanting your attention. I love the way the fretless bass holds everything together with its constant riff. The musical layering’s give a spacey feel. Dave Jarvis on sax takes charge and leads the direction of this complex tune. The beautiful string arrangement provide a calmness to what really is a very busy piece. I don't think it would be possible for producer Robert Bryant to throw any more instruments into the mix. As well as sax, there is piano, harpsichord and some special effects. The tune is a musical feast for the ears. I have played it several times on my program. It is something different and certainly expands the consciousness. John Holden, Chill Zone, 2BACR FM100.9. (August 2014)
Six separate songs from “Through the Eye of the Storm”, continue to be in the Top 30 selling Smooth Jazz singles on the worldwide Indie music website, Soundclick.com.
“Hungry Spirit” The third full studio release project from Remotejazz came in December of 2014. Once again in collaboration with Dave Jarvis on saxophone, and some previously released vocals from guest vocalist Yvonne Allen. The title track from Hungry Spirit came to the attention of the morning man at 96.9theoasis.com, Mr. Dale Berg. Remotejazz was honored as the featured indie artist at the station and the CD landed on the top 30 Indie chart, where it remained for over a year. The project also received some wonderful reviews and write ups from the broadcast industry.
“Hungry Spirit” is a musical journey into peace and contentment. Robert L Bryant (Remotejazz) has given us 5.50 seconds of sheer bliss. It is a piece that works on all the senses and always gives me pleasure in adding it to my playlist. I have played this tune many times on my programs and deem it an excellent follow up to As I Have Loved You. I look forward to hearing more from Robert Bryant with the knowledge that through his gift he is adding to the betterment of mankind.”

“This is really good. I'm going to play it this Wednesday on my radio show. I'm always searching for new and exciting music to play. This is such a track. Is there more? Barry Rosen 90.3 WHCJ-FM Wednesday 10-Midnight Savannah, GA
“Reign of Peace”, the latest project from Remotejazz, was released in November of 2016. Previews for the CD have been extraordinary. The album immediately went to the number one spot on the Indie Charts at 96.9theoasis.com, where it remains in the top 20 Indie albums that are regularly featured.
“New Creature”, seems to be a fan favorite, but several of the songs have been requested for airplay. “Phat Soul” is a funky piece with heavy bass and rhythms, “Walking in Love”, combines saxophone and guitar in a melodic overture that has a slight twinge that will sooth the soul. Dave Jarvis offers his saxophone talents on "Speak To Me", as well as a special Smooth Sax Mix of the title track.
“Beauty from Ashes” is a tender love story of how we can examine overcome our past and move forward without fear while replacing it with peace and tranquility. “Harvest Time”, calms out the project with plenty of electronic piano and awesome string arrangements.
We are very blessed to announce that Key Music Productions, LLC has recently partnered with Smoothjazz.com. “Reign of Peace” will be released globally to 70 stations all over the world in March of 2017. We are very excited about the release since it will be the first time we have partnered with a network of Smooth Jazz radio stations.
Our press release for Reign of Peace says it all:
Early selections of Reign of Peace demonstrate a maturity of sound from previous albums. The song selection gives a taste of various genres within the smooth jazz label by design. The CD is meant to be an evocative, yet soothing journey, and from early reviews it seems to have done the job.
“It’s reminiscent of early Enya or Vangelis, but with a more electronica flavor. If you like Funk Porcini or Amon Tobin, you’ll love this collection”.
The album is a mix of 14 singles, two of which Bryant collaborated on with Jazz saxophonist, Dave Jarvis. The track from which the album was named, Reign of Peace, has two versions one with saxophone and one a piano version that demonstrate the range of subgenres encapsulated in the disk.
